Gilmore, K.S. 1976. Development potential and constraints of a fishing industry. Okavango Delta Symposium, Proceedings of the Symposium on the Okavango Delta and its future utilization, National Museum, Gaborone, (Botswana Society): 174-178

Description:

Development potential and constraints of a fishing industry.

Summary / Notes:

It is believed that fish production in the Okavango system is high. Although there is no evidence to the contrary, a review of available information on electrical conductivity, chemistry of the inflow, and aquatic vegetation indicates that fish production may be lower here than in similar systems elsewhere.
